Scindia vows to do away with his shortcomings

SHIVPURI: Newly-elected MP Jyotiraditya Scindia said he was indebted to the residents of Guna-Shivpuri parliamentary constituency for supporting him during the recently held general elections. He said that it was evident that his base support base in the constituency was shrinking and also admitted that it was because of his own shortcomings and vowed that he would make up them.

Scindia was addressing a public meeting organised to extend his gratitude towards the people for sending him to parliament for another term. He said he was not desperate because of the dismal performance of the Congress in the polls but it has further strengthened his resolve to win over the people’s hearts. He said he worked for area’s residents like a servant and it was proved by the poll results thatt the people support the servant.

However, the results were not so favourable because he could not do all he should have done. He urged the people to apprise him about his mistakes. The Congress leader said his father had taught him always try to ameliorate he tries to walk in his footsteps. “I hold no grudges against anyone. Indebted to the people I would work for them with my full potential till the end of life.”

Later, replying to the journalists’ queries in a press conference organised after the public meeting, Scindia termed his victory in the hard fought elections as historic. He said it makes a little difference that which party is running the government in the centre as it would not hamper the development projects. He reiterated that he would get all works done through his immense willpower and struggle.
